Don't stand behind splitter in use......

That's why I don't loan out my equipment

I used to split every last knarly piece. Now I let some pieces rot, cut them to size with the saw, or burn them in a bonfire. Not worth the stress on the equipment or the danger to the operator.

I think the take away is "smoking will break your log splitter".
 
I would like to report that I indeed have that T shirt. A couple of them in fact.
 
Understood not one thing about what they using or the material they were working with. I guess Red T-Shirt knew enough to get away.
