Hi everyone.
So I've been reading lots and lots of posts on here and have already learned alot. I recently purchased a wood pro ws-ts-1500.. I haven't seen anyone mention this stove anywhere so I was just curious if anyone had any thought on it. Quality? durabilty? Just any sort of info would be great!

Welcome to hearth! I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will shine some light for you.

I've got the woodpro ts-2000 which is the next size up in firebox but the same stove. I have just had it about 6 weeks and it's my first wood stove so I'm not going to be able to give a real in depth opinion probably.

What I have found so far though is it really puts out a good amount of heat. I find myself cruising quite often with the stove top right around 600 in the middle. I find myself doing lots of cold starts, part of that could be my wood though and not wanting to completely overheat the house. I'm not packing the firebox full at all before bed. I'll do a fire in the am and then run it on the evening 2 partial loads usually.

When I got the stove I found 2 firebrick in the bottom partially cracked. Took pictures and called support immediately and they sent me a new box of bottom firebrick. Replaced those 2 and then I have since cracked a top one with the poker (have since quit using it almost completely) and was able to cut one of the bottom ones to fit in top.

I got the stove knowing it was not going to be my last one and not going to be the best out there probably. However it fit my budget and is a good stove for me to learn on and get my wood supply situated on. I imagine I'll look at trying to sell this plus the smoke dragon that came with the house in the next couple years and upgrade.

Wood Pro is made by the company Hearth & Home Technologies who also make Quadra Fire.

Thanks for the replies. I had my stove for about 6 weeks and have been able to use it a few times but I'm far from having it "figured out".

I plan on about an hour from a cold start to when I walk away and leave it right now. It's getting hot by the 30-35 minute mark but my wood is also not as dry as I would like. Lots of stuff in the 20-23% range instead of the 15-20 unfortunately. I have a couple tons of bio bricks that I'll use as we get to the real cold weather.

Sounds like your doing pretty good. I'm not quite sure what my moisture content is yet I just ordered a mm should be in by Tuesday. We've had a few cold night but not to bad yet. But I haven't been able to get an "all night" burn yet. I haven't tried filling the box full I usually put about 4-5 splits in and get it going then back down the air accordingly. I could do that at say 11 pm. And by 3 or so it'll be down to coals. I can't figure out if its just not enough wood or big enough splits or what....
