We installed and lit our new Sirocco 20 tonight.

A few first impressions:

1. It's bigger than I expected. We upgraded from a VC Intrepid II. Many folks on here were saying "Get the 30, you'll want the size" so this put the idea of the 20 being small in my head. It isn't.

2. It's quiet. My VC would rip, even when damped down. The BK is silent, obviously due to it being so well sealed.

3. Draft was a slight worry... I only have 13 feet from color to cap, straight up. The Intrepid II always drafted fine, and the BK seems to be as well. CAT is engaged and the Stat is down low, and all is well. Not to mentioned its 40 degrees out and foggy, so it will only get better.

4. I laughed about all the handwringing regarding numbers or the swoosh on the Tstat. I have to say, numbers would be way the heck better.

One issue... I got the fan kit, and one of the fans doesn't seem to be running when I turn it on. It's the first one in the series, the one the power feed comes into and the switch is on. I'll have to call my dealer in the morning. Disappointing, but... no big deal. I think I'll avoid running the fans at all for now to avoid cooling/heating the deck unevenly.

Congrats!

I had an issue with the fans on my King when I first got it. Made a horrible rattling noise. I never was able to get the dealer to fix it, they said it was "normal". I wonder if they have quality control issues with the fans.

Thank you for your purchase. We had a few dozen fan sets improperly calibrated with the low rpm setting. I apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact your dealer and we'll replace them or if you like we can email the directions needed to set them correctly. You decide how you would like to proceed. Again my apologies.
