Anyone up this way have any info on currans plant? I emailed them last week trying to sort out a problem. No response. I tried emailing again today and the message was returned unknown address.. just tried calling them and the phone number has been disconnected..
My only assumption is they closed the doors...

Funny I just called them and they picked up on the second ring. 315-769-2000

Every email i sent today using the contact on the website was returned. I dialed that exact number a half dozen times

And just tried again twice.. says no longer in service

Very strange indeed. I have no reason to send them an email but I assure you I called the number and this women answered Curran Renewable. Told them I had the wrong number. They are closed right now. Maybe try again in the morning from a different phone? Not sure what the issue is.

Just dialed that number and woman answered curran renewables.

Havnt resolved the email issue but i was able to get thru on the phone finally

What was/is the problem? Just switched over to Barefoot stock for grins.... Much hotter pellet..

Having to scoop ash every couple hours and get more heat from a couple candles.. just trying to figure out if it was a bad batch or if my stove just dont like them..

The Currans I got last year were very ashy (worse than the 2013 batch). Finally burned the last of them a couple of weeks ago in the P61a. Heat was okay, but then again that stove is only heating a 650 sq/ft basement (unfinished, but still not a very big area) so not really a true test of heat output for pellets.

She was honest about and did tell me i was not the only person with a complaint. But she also stated that the others were burning in an englander as well. She asked for the date on the bags but i still need to find it and send it to her so she can "check the logs to see if there was any problems with the mill at that time"

I just cant blame the stove completely. I have tried almost every brand i could find and most of them are the least liked and most hated pellets discussed on here and they still burn alot better than this ton of currans i bought..

shutdown my stove at 8:30 last night, 77 in the house. Barefoots burn much hotter than Currans Blend. Im not swearing the Currans off, as on low all night, the Currans keep house 72....

I bought a couple bags of pres to log yesterday to try.. i ended up having to drop my lff from 5 down to 3 and from heat setting 2 down to 1 and blower on 1 and still ended up opening the front door on occasion to cool off a little. Ran them overnite and didnt really even have to scoop anything out but did anyways.. its unbelievable how much better every other pellet is burning compared to the currans.. i will still try a couple bags of curran at a later date as i would prefer buying local.. but at this point it just seems like i paid $250. For garbage i cant get rid of fast enough

While the ash is mountainous, Im not getting clinkers like I got with Big Box Store bags. I fire mine up at 4:30 when I get home and shut it down at 6:30 when I leave. Always have to dump the burn pot. Not so much with Barefoots.

Last year, Greenways were the best pellet for my setup. Cant find them anywhere within an hour drive...

I have to update... Ive got face facts- Curran Blend kinda suck. Of my selection this year its the only pellet that completely smokes out my glass in less than 24 hrs. One bag produces more ash than 2-3 bags of Spruce Pointe, Barefoot, Lignetics, Hamers and La Crete... Should have tried 4-5 bags before I bought a ton... Oh well.

I have a bag of curran blend in now since the weather showed 30's until this evening... in order to keep the temps the same in here i had to go from setting 2 with logik-es i had in yesterday . all the way up to setting 6 with the currans. Thats a huge difference! Distribution blower stayed the same with both brands. And outside temps stayed pretty much the same as well.

Yes, Ive noticed feed rate has to be one or two settings higher in order to come close to heat output. Spruce pointe burned all night with house at 70 on feed rate of 2. Barefoots would have house at 74 on feed rate of 1.....
