Catskill Mountains
They are calling for a high of 69F here at Woodstock, NY on the day before Christmas Dec 24, 2015. I am old and never seen anything like this before. If this keeps up no need to move south for retirement.

On the down side its not cold enough for the Northeast ski areas here in the Catskills to make snow. This is having a huge negative impact on the economy around here. The ski area water ponds are 42F and by the time they pump the water up hill to the snow guns the water temp is 45F. Of course trying to make snow when its 70F outside in December is not what you call productive.

Here is the weather stations at Belleayre Ski area. Its already 61F at 8:31am this morning.

I think it's currently 65 where I am. My stove is just looking at me quietly.

X-mas eve and I'm wearing shorts to go out for dinner

76 in Philly today. Was walking around the Italian market getting breads and such, seeing people in shorts and t-shirts. Was overly warm wearing thin windbreaker to ward off the rain. 71 on Sunday, then slightly more seasonal temps.

So what impact will this have on pellet manufacturers if this goes on? A stockpile of pellets at what price?

Let's wait to see what the rest of the winter is like...I remember 20 years ago or so a Nor'Easter that hit on April 1st. And hell, I remember last year vividly. Unable to get ahead of the pile up of snow. Things can change quickly.

I also don't think oil is going to be the affordable commodity for the next 20 years as it is now. Wait 'til things resolve somewhat in the Middle East, you'll see pricing rise.

Remember when Trump first got into the race and we all laughed? We're lousy at telling the future...

Syracuse NY 68* and NO snow yet this year.... I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Just got up and checked the temperature in the basement office, where the Santa Fe resides. 72. I thought, "Well, that's a little high. I keep it at 70." Then I remembered the stove was off. This weather is just crazy!
