Generally the problem is that things like servers put out low grade heat and industry needs higher temps.
 
A lot of companies are going to "hot data centers" in order to save money. The company that I work for just built a data center that can be cooled by ambient air ( spring / fall / winter ) or A/C ( summer ).

I have also read about companies building data centers in caves and northern climates to help offset some of the cooling costs too. The problem with that idea is getting reliable telco service.
