went to clean out my stove and when I took out my agitator it came out in 2 pcs.

Have only run this one winter but since I burn a mix of corn and wood my warranty is null and void. A new agitator is $300 .

A local welder has said he can fabricate me a new one but would like actual length from a new agitator if possible...can someone measure theirs for me...total length and the length of the tines??

Hi. $141 +$59 shipping +Canadian exchange was the best I found too

Welder has made me one for $25. Unfortunately he made it too big and I've had to trim it with a grinder twice.
Still need an 1/8" lol hopefully Monday morning we will get it right :)

Now you know for next time ... Curious as to what material you are using and wondering if it will last longer than the "stainless steel" cast. I'm thinking cast of a movable part will not last as long as other forms of steel. Corrosion is a factor too. Keep us posted.

Would love to see a picture. Did he fabricate the end which connects to the agitator drive assembly on the right side? My original agitator, 3 plus years on it, looks much better than the new one I bought last year. After 4 weeks the new one was more degraded than the original.
 
ohbix, if you have an intact original, post measurements for LLpanther if he needs them again!

He took the end that connects to the agitator off my old one and welded it on too the new steel piece he fabricated.

When I clean the stove this weekend I'll try to remember to take a pic ... Not sure how to post pics on here though...

Thanks. Interesting as on mine, the main shaft is slightly smaller, but the middle fingers are almost gone, unlike yours.
 
Pellets or max 50/50 pellet/corn mix. Why wouldn't the agitator be covered by warranty, given that the stove is rated for corn? Appreciate the info; going to ask a local guy whether he could do something similar. A picture would be great. Wonder how well the agitators in other multifuelers survive?
 
I checked the manual and saw the warranty disclaimer on the agitator when burning corn. I thought it was odd too since it is rated as a multifuel/corn burner. I think most companies figure that the agitator is a "wear" item and most are not covered under warranty. Burn-pot in my pellet stove wasn't covered either.
