Having problems with auger locking up on brass bushings.
It was suggested to try a product called Deoxit Fader F5 for dry or dirty bearings. It is actually meant for cleaning and lubricating control switches but a customer had a exh fan on a Harman PC45 that started squealing loud enough to wake the whole house. The stove is 11 years old. I didn't have a extra fan along so tried to squirt some of this product towards the bearing area in hopes it might work. Amazingly the noise quit so we ordered a new fan figuring it will be needed sooner then later. I got the fan but it has been 3 weeks and that stove has been purring like a kitten ever since.
I bought this product to renew the three rheostat type controls on this stoves control board and it worked on them but that was what this product is for. I really didn't expect it to work on the exh fan but it did. You can find it on Amazon or E-Bay for 13-14 dollars.
