I have a Enviro Stove wh-31148 ef-II warnock hersey pellet stove manufactured by sherwood industries. I start the unit and it works fine, next thing you know the green light that illuminates everytime the auger turns stays on almost like pulsing fast, i have scoured the internet and called dealers and manufactures to find answers on what this means and or what part may be failing to no avail. DOES ANYONE HERE HAVE ANY IDEA OR CAN SHED LIGHT ON MY SITUATION? Any and i mean ANY help will be greatly appreciated.

Looks like an Enviro stove, warnock hershey is just a testing outfit. Might want to put that in the thread title. That being said, I know nothing about your stove, but people here do, be patient, they will show up, and be helpful. And welcome to the forum .................

For starters - unplug the stove for 5 or 10 minutes to reset the control. That MAY help.

Do you have the owner's manual???? If not you can download one from the enviro site

I have downloaded the owners manual PDF. And have an electrician buddy coming over with a fluke to check some components. Hopefully this tells me something.

What year is the stove ?
Does the control panel look like the one on page 8 of above man.

Your control panel should have Blower control Knob (Hi - Low
Start rocker switch
green light (When on flashing)
Auger control knob (cold - hot )
Is this correct ?
If it is try doing auger timer diagnoses
Page 48 of above manual
Post a picture of control panel so I can see which one you have

If the lowest knob has no effect on the auger operation
Green Light flashes slower the further knob is rotated CC
and flashes more often (faster ) when turned CW I would
suspect auger timer module defective

It is relative to the auger speed I blinks when the auger spins...after 10-15minutes it is on steady and no pellets come out.

suspect auger timer module defective
This the most likely cause but do the tests on auger motor and timer as per the manual
It is very difficult to diagnoses at a distance you have to do the testing and report back
problems are not usually straight forward and there are to many variables to consider
With that said I still feel that the timer mod is defective . the dial a fire on am Enviro stove
is very simple and easy to locate problems

The info is greatly appreciated, buddy is on the way over with the electric checker and we should see what's going on. Next is pricing the sucker.will report the findings ASAP. THANKS EVERYONE

It's probably going to be either the dial-a-fire rheostat or the timer. Your friend will probably figure it out. Enviro website has a good service manual with test procedures. If it's the timer, your old stove may have the 1-second timer. Enviro changed to a 3-second timer becuase 1-second would have problems feeding on low. I got a 3-second timer here:

http://controlsourceintl.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=645.

Call them on Monday if you need the timer. They ship fast. If you need the rheostat instead, it's about the same price from most vendors. Just order from whoever gets it to you fast.

If you bypassed the vac switch, that doesn't mean the stove isn't dirty and is in need of a cleaning. Is the chimney or venting blocked in any way? The vacuum switch is there to act as a safety switch if that is the case. The vac hose could also have fines in it and be blocked, something else to check. Also, your pix seems to indicate that the unit is an EF3, does it have a bay window?? The dial a fire looks like an EF3 version too. The green light is supposed to come on when the auger turns. Setting the dial a fire at noon is about 6-7 secs off, with an on time of 3 secs. The dial a fire isn't exactly a linear scale either, mine ran best in the 10 to 2 o'clock range. The upper dial controls the convection blower speed. The vacuum switch if it is the problem should be about 80 bucks from an enviro dealer. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the info, the chimney is 100% clear. It does have a bay window 3PC, it runs like a top at the auger dial in the 3o'clock position. I will be giving it a really in depth cleaning. The scrapper does not scrape. And I have to connect a fresh air tube out of the top of the chimney like the owners manual calls for.

Oh yeah, if the scraper arm is stuck, either rusted or stuck by fly ash/debris. Good to hear she is running for you, the EF3 is one of my favorite stoves, simple to use, very reliable and is a workhorse. 3 oclock is high heat output- where do you have the air control (silver rod on left as you face it, should have about a 3/4 inch black ball handle)? It should be around 1 to 1.25 inches of silver rod showing. Yep, she probably does need a thorough cleaning. The top baffle (that metal plate on top that fits into cutouts in the internal metal) needs to be cleaned out about after every ton too, fly ash builds up in there. Fresh air is always a good idea if its convenient but is not absolutely needed, varies from install to install, I have it on my FS EF3 downstairs, but I don't have it on my Empress insert upstairs. Good luck with her.

Ty yea she is humming right along 22 degrees outside 74 inside a 2200 sq ft home. When it warms up I will do d out how to gain access to the heat pipes for the scraper.
