Need help please
My stove will start up fine but it now has a tall lazy flame and the pellets build up in the pot and after a few hours it is full. This problem has slowly gotten worse over time. I have used about 80 bags of pellets so far this year . My stove is 12 years old I think and I have been using it for 4 years without any problems. My first thought was a dirty chimney so I cleaned every thing all pipes and stove including taking out combustion motor and cleaning it. Still same problem checked seals around door and ash tray all good. It seems like the combustion motor fan is not pushing enough air so I replaced it with motor out of same stove that I have in the garage and use very little. Still same problem and the motor I took out and put in garage stove works fine out there.
Now I am lost any any help would be appreciated
Is there a sensor that controls combustion motor speed that could be bad???
thanks

The inside of the stove needs to be cleaned
Hidden ash traps are full behind the burn pot
in the fire box . pay particular attention to passage
from fire box side to exhaust blow it is probably
plugged solid . Had the same problem with my ef3
a few years ago
You will have to remove rear fire box panels

That service manual also show how to test voltage at the blower motor to confirm the rpm that the fan is turning at. I would think that at 12 years old if you haven't replaced the convection blower motor yet and the stove is completely clean,l it a good chance the motor is slowly failing

Hi Rbart- is the ash pan in and sealed properly?? Where do you have the air slider on the left side? Most Enviros (except Maxx) have about 1 to 1.25 inches of silver showing, then the black ball is there. If no change in flame moving the air slider then there is an air leak- the ashpan, the door gasket etc. Good luck, as least you have spare parts to check with. None of the sensors would cause this. This is an air flow issue. Are you sure the inner exhaust paths are clear? The air tubes are clean? One question tho- does the exhaust blower sound normal? The EF2 and 3 have 115 volts to the combustion blower all the time, due to the analog dials. Did this problem recently start?

Thanks everone for there help. Problem solved--I removed the 3 panels in the fire box and cleaned the passages before the damper
they were full of ash. My stove now works like it was new and this site saved me a service call that I could not afford wright now.
thanks again!!!!!!!!!!

Glad she is going for you- that is a very willing heater. Stay warm..
