Wood Gun fan bearing and door gasket questions

Glad to hear things went easier, sorry to hear the bearings went bad so fast.

Like I said earlier, I bought an entire fan assembly to be able to swap out the original one and then at my leisure try to get the fan off.
WELL, a couple weeks ago I finally got around to making the swap, and immediately the new motor had a really loud harmonic whining sound, like, wa, wa, wa, wa. I shot a video if you care to see it

But I still couldn't get the fan off the original one UNTIL I made this set up. Its a 1" fine thread nut with a 3/4" nut welded to it and a 5/8" hardened bolt that just fits in fan hole. A couple big wrenches and some elbow grease an it popped off.




I called AHS about the whining sound in the new motor and they said it could be the bearings or the fan is out of balance, so the sent me out 2 bearings and a fan blade. Installed them and it was the same.

Meanwhile the original unit with the new bearings is purring like a quiet kitten.

I have to send the motor back and with get a new one or a refund.

I also loaded up the shaft, both set screws and the bolts that hold the motor to the plate with high heat antiseize.

the replacement bearings # is 6203-2rs c/4.IBT bearings inc.can order them for 15.00.they are made consolidated bearings.

Thanks for the pictures infiniyimike. I bought a new motor and fan from AHS last year in preparation of motor/bearing failure. The old unit is still working and the new parts are on the shelf.
My question for those of you that have completed this project is how do you set the distance of the fan from the heat exchanger?

Before I removed the fan from the original unit, i took some flat washers and piled them up to just slip under the fan, then used them to space the new set up.
A 1/16" one way or the other wont matter to much
