My Lopi liberty has a heat output issue that baffles me. If the stove has over 2 inches of ash it seems the heat output decreases even though the my stove top and chimney thermometer read the same, empty or full Stove top temps are usally between 500-650. I struggle to heat my house to 71-72 degrees with any amount of ash in the stove, but emptied to 1 inch I can get 76-80 degrees. The problem I have emptying the ash is during overnight burns it seems the fire will "run away". Stove top temps will top 800 degrees, the stove top even started glowing a couple times, and the chimney also overheats. I cant for the life of me figure out why I cant get the stove to heat my house with any amount of ash in it even though operating temps seem to be the same.
