Drolet ECO 65 with a Crosslink conversion kit

  • Active since 1995, Hearth.com is THE place on the internet for free information and advice about wood stoves, pellet stoves and other energy saving equipment.

We strive to provide opinions, articles, discussions and history related to Hearth Products and in a more general sense, energy issues.

We promote the EFFICIENT, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN and SAFE use of all fuels, whether renewable or fossil.
As promised here's my install of the Crosslink kit on an Eco-65.
Looking at the picture, return is on the right and Hot on the left.

Running at setting 3 on the pellet stove and my fan running constantly
which has the effect of cooling the water constantly i'm getting 110F out and return at 90 which proves me
that my taco pump running in Delta mode is doing it's job.

I powered off my furnace fan and the water got up to 140F, then I turned on my fan
and the temperature at the register was showing 100F compare to 80F when I'm on the heat pump.

An aquastat is in the mail so that I will turn the fan On at 130F and off probably at 120F and
see how I'm doing.

when I was running the fan constantly with a 110F OUT the entire house was more balance in heat
than when I ran the pellet Only and the Fan ON.

I'm convinced that I can keep the house warm entirely but will continue to experiment for the best solution ..

Wow , looking good whats the white box beside the furnace , looks like a water heater?
Hey Hey Hyfire, long time no see. It is a water heater but not connected, I'm using it has the holding tank.

Running this on 3 and in pilot mode and stove will go off, meaning that it was running on pilot for 45 minutes.
Good but I'm putting more wear on igniter than before...which brin me to this question.

Do you know if the pilot time can be adjusted other than the default 45 minutes?????

So Tommy got a crosslink into Canada:)
I like the way mine is working. No aquastat needed. return of 70 out at 110+-. Pump on medium speed

If you don't mind me asking, what type of system do you have????

Set on 3 return is 95 and out is 123, trying to keep pump at lowest speed (6.8Gals).
I'm using a water to air Echanger and keeping my HVAC fan on constantly that keeps
entire house (2600ft) at 73F

You didn't read my signature? Heating 1500 sqft of slab and can if needed heat via the room fan the upstairs. But letting the Bixby do that as corn is only$110/T and less fuss. Harman gets a diet of about half corn.

Reactions: Love the Heat
Mine paid off ahead of time when propain went over $3.50
Still ahead of the game as propain went back up to 1.20 and blending has fuel at under 160ton
Our Northern friends are still getting the shaft on oil prices

Pellets went on sale for $200 US this week and the corn is about $115. I got most of my hardwood pellets for around 185+-. This heating season is not been very hard on the stash. The Ecoteck eats premium soft/hardwood that was purchased 2014 for $210 and not hardly used except for when we dive below zero and fall and spring shouldering.

I am heating 1500 sq.ft of basement slab without any issues

My system is working without issue. Fall has been warm so only using for a few hours an evening to keep the chill out of the basement and keep the upstairs decent. Local corn prices are below $3. I screwed up and didn't get in on the 79 cent propain
