We're in line for that snow storm coming up the East coast, current forecasts range anywhere from 6-18" for our area, maybe more and maybe less though the forecasters are saying err to the side of more. I was just out walking the dog and listening to the sound of a chainsaw in the wood lot next to our property. Yeah, there's some downed logs that have been sitting there for oh about 2 years now from a partial logging but talk about cutting close to needing it.

Probably working on his 3 year plan.;)

Yep. Another guy thinking it's down it must be dry.

If he tries to burn that wood tonight he's in for a surprise. ;)

I expect he is ahead of some who are probably buying stove and stovepipe ;)

Next week will be a good time to check the returned goods area at Home Depot, lot of low hours generators will get returned. They will show up on craigslist once the credit card bill arrives.

I like the way you think peakbagger.......I am two years ahead but i was splitting last night in the cold.....warms me up, just not as well as the stove does

I have a buddy that is that guy who believes if on ground for a couple months it's dry. Just cut and throw in the insert. It burns but he gets that nasty white smoke. Tried to get him to get ahead but likes his way. He cut this years wood back in dec a large hickory once split water just oozed out but he is burning it.
