Wishing everyone on the Hearth a happy and safe New Year!

We just had a nice steak dinner and are going to head over to the neighbor's for a small get together to ring in the new year. I hope the night is a good one for all, no matter what your plans entail.

2007 was a good year personally and I hope 2008 will be even better. I won't go into great detail; suffice to say that I am a luck man in the ways that matter most in life. I've got a great, supportive wife; beautiful, healthy, vibrant daughter; wonderful family and great friends. I've been blessed to be able to run my own business and support my family this past year and with a little luck and a lot of hard work, I'll be able to do the same in 2008. I was lucky enough to be born into a country where this is all possible, due to the sacrifices of those who came before me and those who defend what our forefathers created.

I raise my glass to those I mentioned above and to all of you here on hearth.com. May we all have a blessed, safe, prosperous and warm new year!

Oops, should have put this in the ash can. That's what I get for hoisting my glass too early.....

I'll raise mine too, MrGriz. Sounds like your year was a lot like mine. Just finished a lobster dinner and finishing off the last of the Pinot Grigio. Watching the flames in the Summit bounce. Not going anywhere this year, just sitting with the family with the oldies tunes on the stereo and playing "Mexican Train" a nifty little domino's game.
Take care all, and best of the New Year wherever you are and whatever you're doing.

Let me join in also - 2007 was a great year on this end! And on the Forum here, our cup runneth over with thousands of new members and many more learning from reading the posts.

Here are some pics from the local Fireworks here in the Pioneer Valley

Also, a short video of the fireworks, which should work as soon as google finishes processing it

Here, Here! Well said McGriz. Best to all and may this coming year continue all that has made us so fortunate!

Happy New Years to all the good folks around the hearth.
May your wood stay dry and your fires stay hot.

Have a great new year all and be safe.

Hoping all have a safe and prosperous new year!
CHeers!

Happy New Year everyone!

Obviously I had a great 2007 and I can only hope that 2008 can measure up to be half as good as this last year has been.

Between the trip to Reno, the job at Englander, my graduation from college, my engagement, buying a house. We've truly been blessed.

Having some good fresh pork sausage, eggs, toast and some mimosas with the leftover champagne. A good start to a nice day off with just me and girl Corrie.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!

So far a good 2008. House is warm, smoke dragon is humming along and Michigan FINALLY won a bowl game.

Thanks Craig for all your hard work, feels warm and cozy here just like the house!
