That dude was VERY thorough with his analysis. Wow

yeah, he wasnt playing around, i saw the thread and was thinking "man this dude has too much time on his hands" but he did a pretty solid critique/review on it. apparantly he does a lot of these type appliances, has a room for all kinds of manufacturers grills.

So did you ever pick one of these up bobdog?

AMFM has them for 950 delivered and I am really itching to get off of the gas.

I have a Green Mountain pellet grill.... and I paid just under $800 for it and it works great. I've used it the past 2 winters. If you live in a cold climate I recommend getting the blanket or it will chew through pellets.

Thanks for that Mike, i like rare so thats why i like a hot grill. Just a bit more than seared on the outside. 3 minutes each side on a 1.5" ribeye. Yummy.
1.5'" and 3 minutes a side? That's not rare. That's uncooked. A 1.5" thick cut rib eye @ 3 minutes per side, would have an internal temperature of no more than 115*F. WTF......

Slap it on the a$$ then slap it on the plate.

This is my thread...... I have no desire to tend to charcoal...... the egg is cool but not my thing.

Dahum...aren't you territorial. I'm betting you got that instinct from the other forum?

Charcoal is the way to go. Quite a bit of the volatiles have been burned off. I'm leery of pellets and use in food preparation, unless of course the pellets are made specifically for pellet smokers. And those are quite expensive.

I've got over 15 grills, all charcoal, some duplicates. No propane, no natural gas. My wife thought I was crazy back when I started looking for the "best" that was available. Then she was stranded for a week in NJ with nothing but a propane grill and dull knives. She learned to love me again, to ignore all of my faults (of which there are many).

I apologize for invading your thread....
