The air control on my tube stove has no calibrations, so it is real easy to know when it is fully open, or when it is fully closed, but even half way is a best guess. Anyone rig up theirs in such a way that they know when theirs is, say, 25, 50, 75% open? It is a SBI stove, many of their makes (Drolet, Century, Flame, Osburn, Enerzone) are very similar, with a plunger type air control, pulled out all the way is open, pushed all the way forward is closed (or almost closed).
While I am asking, anyone make any modifications to their blower housing so that it does not vibrate at various times during the burn cycle?
I really like the stove insert two months in, I can't imagine a better value, and the quality, performance and customer service have been top notch, but I'd like to address these two issues.
