I was out cleaning my boiler today and when I started it back up, I noticed the draft blower was not working. I assume the capacitor is bad in it. Once I spin it by hand, it will run, but not as fast as it should. I can not find an exact match for the MKSP-5P on-line. I did find this product at amazon:

AC 450V 4.5uF Ceiling Fan Motor Running Capacitor

Part Number a12070300ux0518

Will this work for my situation?
Thanks,
Bob

This is the spare for my EKO 40. I took this one into a shop that rebuild electric motors and they gave me one with similar specs. It worked but wasnt smal enough to fit in space provided for it.

I looked for that on-line and couldn't find it. I found several EN60252 but none that I see that are close to those specs.

I just looked at the link and he's charging $12 for it. I found one on Amazon for $2.76. It looks to me like it's the same thing.

I will try this first and see how it goes.

This one doesn't .. But it still works fine.

I doubt it will fit too. I'll just tape it in place. The plastic housing is busted and I've taped it together. As long as it does the job, I'll be happy with it.

Prolly time to gulp back a guiness then..
Damn good idea. At this time, I only have Erdinger on tap, so I'll enjoy a nice long pour!

Funny, that's one of the videos I watched last week. I figure the motor's gone bad. I contacted Zenon and he said it was too old to be covered under warranty. I told him I thought the warranty was for 5 years and I'm still under 4 years, but I still haven't heard back. If he won't replace it I'll start looking at the starting winding.
To be continued.......
