Sorry for the delay, I found the invoice. The part number I used was 6DVL-ADC. I did not use the trim piece that came with it because it the OD was too wide for the ceiling support.

Don't know how far along you are [OP] in getting all your answers. I can tell you that I have 30-year old Metalbestos pipe and accessories and added a new stove to my house last year. To do so, I needed not only a couple more lengths of the chimney pipe, but also some double-walled stovepipe and adaptors and all the rest. Everything I ordered from Selkirk matched up perfectly with all my old, original pieces. Therefore, I would expect you should have zero trouble. Great deal on that pipe, by the way.
Thanks guys, for all your help. I've tried a couple different adapters from a couple different Selkirk lines and neither has worked. I'm going to try with the DVL adapter and pipe and hopefully that should be the end of it. The inside diameter of the chimney pipe is 6" as is the DVL adapter. So hopefully it's a nice snug fit.

So I don't know what's going on here. The DVL adapter arrived yesterday and I found that in my case the DVL adapter does not slip inside the chimney pipe. Rather it loosely flips over the inside wall. The gap isn't significant, but I worry it's enough for flue gasses, etc. to,escape. It's certainly not an airtight fit. Running out of options I'm afraid. I'll try calling Selkirk again, as per SteveG And failing that I may just scrap the idea of saving hundreds of dollars with this old pipe and just get the new stuff that I know will match up. It gets to the point where this isn't worth the time and effort!

It fit pretty snugly for me, but it wasn't so snug that I could shove it in and leave it without it falling back out. Can you post a video of how loose it is? I originally applied RTV and was going to use only that. Then I was concerned that it wasn't holding it in place when fitting the telescoping pipe, so
I also fastened it with the 2 screws.
Raising this one from the dead. I finally figured out why I was having trouble. This isn't metalbestos pipe after all! It's Security. I found a local wholesaler and just bought new chimney to get on with it. Neither the DVL or DSP connectors/adapters were working with this chimney so I threw in the towel on trying to save money. In the end I saved nothing and lost money by still paying for heating oil for the last couple months. At least it's down per gallon and it's been a warm winter. But still ... live and learn I guess. Thanks anyway to everyone trying to help me out with this.

Glad you finally got it figured out. What made you think it was Metalbestos, was there a tag on it?
There are no identifying markings on the chimney components themselves. The CL seller advised that when he bought them the supplier told him it was metalbestos - and that's what he told to me. I brought a 2' piece to a local wood stove technician who after looking at the piece also confirmed it to be older metalbestos. So I was going under the authority of an "expert" as well as the claims of the seller. I posted pics here as well in this thread and no one chimed in to say it was anything else. I'm going to try to flip it on CL for a profit to get something out of this - but I'll be sure to identify it as Security. I'm sure this could be of use to someone, it's in excellent condition. If I hadn't already invested several hundred dollars in other Selkirk components, I may have stuck with it, trying to get the right pieces from M&G or whoever. Contractor is supposed to install tomorrow.
