Except in NH - at least not from what I've seen :p

Still $259/ton at my local HD (southwest NH). The price has not budged at all this entire season.

HD's Manahawkin NJ and south are now showing at $3.99 bag(down from $5.18) or $199 ton. Last I checked, they were Green Supremes. Not a brand I want to buy.

Suspense is good. Stove Chows and ThermaGlo's. Both burn well w/ decent heat in the M55; ash is not an issue. 3.58/bag in NE Ohio.

179! thats just wacky. if your stove can handle them, stock up. my home depot briefly went down to 199, but now are back up to 259. 199 was even better with their flat rate shipping. 65.00 got 10 tons to my house. thats $6.50 to deliver a ton :)

edit: i just looked again and they are back down to 199. looks like they are flip flopping on the price. i wonder if anyone bought them yesterday at 259

Had a nice discussion with a HD manager recently about pellets and he said they know the price they need to mark the pellets to move them but off-site corporate overseers were stubbornly holding them to pre-agreed pricing strategies.

I just stocked up on a couple tons at the $199 price, but stores around here are running out fast. The HD that I went to only had a couple DRY pallets left. There were a bunch that were clearly soaked and ruined. My pallet however was nice and dry. ;)

Waterbury, CT H-D yesterday had FSU for $199. Only bought a few bags though to get me through March. Tempting to snag a few ton for next season, but oil could be 99 cents/gal by then, so I relented. I can't believe pellets in general remained high all season when NO ONE was buying them. Walmart last week had 20 tons of Pennington on hand at $5.69 a bag; what the hell are they gonna do with that? I don't know anyone that even buys their pellets at Walmart. Pennington does make quality garden supplies, not so sure about pellet quality.

HD near me $199/ton of Nations Choice

I entered a sample of Pennington pellets in "longest pellet" contest couple years ago. They looked and smelled more like recycled cardboard. Burned and will leave it there. Used most of the bags for shop spills.
Pennington is a bagging company. Buy cheap and bag it.

local Home Depot was $199/ton in the store but not on the web. For a couple of days. Now $199 online.
Some of the closer stores around still have 40/50 ton.

They finally dropped at the Rochester store.... talk about holdouts!
My guess is that they lost a lot of sales to Lowes, who dropped theirs quite a while ago..

I should add, that I think it more silly, they did not lower sooner,
where the two stores are a a little over a stone's throw from each other.......

O'Malley's we're hands down the longest pellets in the Universe.!!!

FWIW both North American blends and Green Supreme leave a bump too. NAB being the more severe, though I have been able to scrape it without hammering. NAB seem a bit hotter than GS. Just sayin. Anyway $199 a ton for either, GS at Lowes, NAB at TSC around here. Not sure what HD is up to.

HD here finally got rid of the full skids...at 199.
only about 20 bags of Nations choice and stove chows sitting around .

Ya the $199 price point seems to spur some movement.
