I am thinking of purchasing a floor model Castile, manufactured in 2013 and in a working display in the store for 2 years. Store is no longer a quadrafire dealer - so no warranty.

Is there anything in particular that I should look out for with this stove? Was 2013 a good year for castile stoves?

Thanks!
Graham

There should still be some items covered under warranty regardless, it's mfg warranty nota dealer warranty. Nothing has changed on the Castile in 4-5 years and it's a solid unit.

Would a none selling dealer honor the warranty ?

I would think so. It would be good business for them, for future parts sales to you. This is my personal opinion though.

It should be like when you buy a vehicle. You can take it to any dealer to have warranty work done.

Should be like auto dealer, I have read it's not.
