This I think is the pump

First question : can some one tell me about this pump?

Second question : Do I need this big of an engine to operate this pump?

Third question : have I given enough info on the engine ?
Like shaft size and length, so I can find a replacement?

Thanks for your input!

Bolt pattern for engine base.

Unfortunately the numbers on these pumps vary greatly depending on who they were manufactured for. With a side view picture and a dimension from the font of the mounting flange to the back of the pump we can give a close guess on pump size. Either 11 or 16 gpm the 2 most common.

Here are some more picks of the pump.

A =
5 -15/16 "
B = 4.50 +/- "
C = 2 -14/32"
The one that reads 1.25 = 1- 8/32"

Although your dimensions do not match exactly your pump is most likely a 16 gpm 2-stage.
Thanks
Do I need a 10hp engine to run the pump , or will a 8hp work?

Going with a replacement 10hp $500 ;sick

I did replace this 10hp

with the new improved

How do we refer to this now, Hp was easier!

Easy replacement. I do believe it's stronger than the 10hp.
I learned a lot with this project!
I also replaced the hydrolic filter, and topped off the tank with fluid.
