When I hear crawlspace, I think under the floor. Any way you could provide a drawing of your proposed venting?

Are you saying you want to go down and then out?

a down vent just sounds like a horrific idea. Seems like it would want to reverse draft into the stove if conditions were right.

I wonder where the Op went? I still would like to see how he was planning to vent the stove. I prefer HK.

Sorry for disappearing. Health issues. Anyways I want to cut a hole in the floor behind the stove and vent down about 12 inches, then a 90 elbow, then run about 12 feet horizontally to exterior wall.

My opinion would be absolutely not for several reasons. Here are 2.
1) never put a down pointing flue pipe on a wood burning appliance of any kind.
2) never put the joints of a flue pipe in an inaccessible area.

Sounds like you're trying to install a stove in the middle of the house? 12 foot of horizontal pipe, under the floor, no easy access.

I certainly wouldn't pursue an installation of this type.

Thx guys. Looks like my only option is to vent straight up about 30 ft.

Can't move the install location to an exterior wall?
