Is it just me or does that firebox look awfully high? At least it appears so relative to my Tarm 40.
The Froling Distributor for Canada is very close to Vancouver, as a crow flies just 200 kms away from me;
I will be holding off on the install till later in the heating season.
The pallet is 6 or 7" high so the fire box will be a little lower after the pallet is removed.
Will need to order a 240v boiler pump a caleffie quickset flow metre and a bit of copper.

ah man; I remember those days a couple years ago. I had a list of everything I had to do to get it put together and installed and brought online.
Just came home from dinner at the neighbors. The Froling is at the end of yet another run, lugging along at 35% fan speed, tank is fully charged and the house is a comfortable 70f as we get ready for bed.
I'm sure you will enjoy.

Now, I don't recall the details, but are you going to use the Vesta like that other fellow, to use the Vesta to lengthen the burn by controlling return temp? Any additional ways the Vesta could be used? Contemplating any other piping changes?

Lol. I know it .. I have to wait till the heating season is over . I have a reantal suite and cant just cut off their heat.
I have 1150 gals of storage . I dont think controling the Froling will add much benifit (Maybe it can but im not sure how), I will be modifying the storage piping a little bit though. Maybe using the Vesta to control and modulate the two piggy backed storage circs.

Beautiful looking machine. I took a look online and many of the features look identical to items on my unit (i.e. the smoke hood, Lamda control, etc.) - you are going to love the ease of firing! I couldn't find any info on the controller, knowing what they do in Europe I imagine that there is a lot of built in functionality/controls that you are going to love as well. Enjoy!

hello all, new member here,and would like to share my experience with all here.after 3 years of planing, rechearch ,designing and carefull procurement, i started my project on first of november 2015 and fired up my baby on march 2 2016.
my project was not for everyone to do, i first needed to retrofit my house for radiant heating, needed to build a new garage with basement to lay boiler and water tank,(50 feet away from the house), the project was completly self build (the wife helped a lot) self tought and with some help from Mike at Biothermic in northern Ontario,self commissioned.
i can't help to mentioned the amazing help i got from ther company, from rechearch in procurement of the Froling boiler,help in design according to my specific needs,procurring boiler and all relative piping instruments required from boiler to storage tank,managing de
iverry in Magog !Quebec, they have been there for me even if i was 22000 km away (did it al while i was in australia).
i would recommand them to anybody wanting to install shuch a system wood log or pelets, they are the guys to do it.
like i said my system was not for everyone, since the cost of infrastructure was very significant, and the project was not a necessity since i was heating electrical, but i needed to have it ,warm floors during winter nights was well worth it for me and my wife.
i will be posting full history later,till then,here are a few picks to give general idea and a list of major components.
new garage with basement
Froling FGH 3000 turbo
500 gallons atmospheric reserve tank
full Caleffi piping hardware
full 3500 feet Uponor pex piping garage and house
Caleffi manifolds and zone control in the house mechanical room

lots of sweat,bruises and band-aid.

Sounds like a great set-up! Nothing but the best from the boiler forward.
You do much better at communicating in English than we can do the other way around.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah baby....good going huff..I remember when the wife wasn't happy....ripping doors out, chipping concrete framed openings to fit tanks in the basement,,,,re doing the basement boiler room...yeah....sweet..good times...let 'er rip..can not wait to see the install.
