This is a wood / coal burning box stove with cook top plate manufactured by The Portland stove foundry company. The information I have said these where produced from the late 1800's to early 1900's. If this is incorrect, please contact me with what you feel is the correct information and the source. The model is an Atlantic # 124. It was restored a few years ago and I used it as an insert in my fireplace. This thing works great. I no longer need it because I installed a pellet insert. I cleaned it and gave it 2 fresh coats of stove paint. I also made shorter legs so it would fit in my fireplace. The original legs are also pictured . I hated to take it out but we decided to stop burning wood. Great for period correct restoration. $1500 B/O. There are pictures of before and after repaint and when I had it installed in my living room. I couldn't find the picture I wanted of the finished project with the stove restored and installed.
