Ash? With those big pieces my neighbour would be hauling them so they could be milled. We gave him a couple ash from our property and my daughter has a beautiful hope chest. The remainder was used on kitchen cabinets ...

Yeah. Its less than a 1/4 mile from my house. I cut it, brought the splitter over, processed it and hauled back to my place. Can't leave it overnight...did that once and it was gone.

Sweet score!! I check ours randomly, at least once a week. Problem is, so do some others...... early bird gets the worm, just sayin! Not sure if the houses nearby like a saw running at 7:30 am but haven't gotten any nasty looks yet. Its really hit or miss though.

Our city dump closes at 2:30 in the afternoon so it does nobody any good. Some people dumped dry wall and building supplies and ruined it for everyone.
Hope your luck holds out and you can keep going there.
