image.jpeg Here it is...

I'm not quite sure what you have there, I'm taking a guess but it might be some sort of Willow tree? Maybe someone else will chime in too....

The sucker branches kinda look like apple, Elm can get them bad like that as well...

Thank you all for the responses. Apple sounds to make the most sense. I do have an apple tree roughly 50'feet away. The tree pictured was cut down at only 5 of 6 feet tall. It was actually under other larger trees I cut down as well. The wood is very heavy, which leads me to Again think Apple

This is a tough one to identify. The earlier pictures, the bark looks almost like Mulberry, but the cut side would be yellow and it isn't. If it is Apple it should have a sweet smell to it, does it?

I was thinking the same with pic #2

Bark looks somewhat like Eastern Redbud. It doesn't get much bigger than that. Any flowers on it?

No flowers at time I cut it..only the leaves shown above.. I did not notice much smell, but I will respite a piece...and report back to you.. Eastern redbud, if I had known that might have left it alone...

It does look like Redbud. I have a bunch of them on the driveway. They usually break in two because Redbud never intended to be a big tree. Better as a bush.
