DH - this is an absolute stunning installation - it looks it came from a magazine! Your room / house looks gorgeous too - you should be proud!

Stupid question - is it ever a problem watching the TV that high on the wall?

Again, nice work!

Thanks for the compliment. As far as the tv goes the couch is about 16' back from it, we have grown used to it. The way we wanted the room setup with the furniture that was really the best option.

Yes - I totally understand about the TV placement.

I'm also adding an alcove ZC fireplace to our living room (which is much smaller than yours). And we're making the FP the centerpiece of the room, but then there's not many options remaining for the TV placement - ahhh!

Wow thanks dieselhead. Looks great. Couple of questions. How did manage too meet the minimum 6" requirements for the back wall. I am still debating about whether to wrap the stone around the front edge with maybe 4" of stone on the front or doing the stone all on the inside like you. Any insights or suggestions. Also those are beautiful stones. What are they. Did they come in sheets or did you cut and place them yourself. I see the sheets are like $25sq/ft. I can not afford those for mine. How much did you spend for those stones. Again looks fabulous.

I used this stone:

I met the 6" no problem. I thought about wrapping the stone too but think the design I went with looks a lot cleaner.
