Would anyone know what the max BTUs/hr is for this fireplace? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I can only guess about 30,000. Any help would be much appreciated.

One can measure the btu input, that is the amount of heat in the wood burned, but the output is mostly up the chimney. There is some radiant heat but not measured.

So there would be no input btuh rating as typically specified on other appliances like a water heater and stove?
If you are burning wood in it the btu input will vary greatly depending on the amount and species of wood loaded in it. But like others have said the output will be little to none.

Thanks guys. It makes sense what's being said but isn't quite what I'm looking for.

I'm trying to check the gas system in my home to make sure there's enough capacity available to run one more line to a new outdoor grill. For example, what would an inspector use when they're making their determination? Am I not asking the correct question? Should I have asked what is the input btuh rating for this fireplace as in the max coming out of the gas line?

Not sure the setup here but gas log sets can be 45K to 65K btus input, maybe more for the larger ones.

Yes what bg said you need to look at the tags on your gas log set then. The fireplace has nothing to do with the amount of gas used. That is determined by the log set.

So how does an inspector trying to measure the max gas load of a home's gas system consider the gas load of a fireplace? Is there maybe a standard I could reference?

It will be specific to the log set.
