No, that's quite high. The ad is 2 months old - big clue there. $100 is reasonable IF saw truly is excellent. Not many AM parts for a 44. If you want a 1980s-1990s Husky, look for a 50, 51 or 55.

$200 seems high to me as well. It's a saw from the late 70s early 80s. For $200 bucks I'd look for something newer. Nothing wrong with an older saw but I'd want newer if I were spending $200 or more on a work saw. I also agree $100 is a better price.

You can find used Dolmar 421s for $250 to $300 and it's a modern pro saw of the same size. Not much more than what this saw is priced at.

That's a great deal on that 260. If I were local I'd grab it. Then relist it for $300 because I have no use for it and could make an easy $100 bucks.

If your local to that saw go grab it. Looks clean and is priced right. If the compression is good it's a no brainer for 2 bills

Pickup the Stihl -MS 260
Fairly clean starts right up.
I will test it this Saturday.
I got a 16" yellow chain ( 26RMC 67) for $15 to go with it.
The piston is from Stens .. etc.
I feel good about this.
I did see a new MS-261 while I was at the dealer for $ 600

Update !!
I finally got a chance to work the MS260 this weekend.
I store this in Canada .. so I do not get to use it much .. sits idle more than works.
This baby started right up ! .. I worked it fairly well and it did not let me down!
Thanks Jon1270 for seeing the MS260 ..!
Another happy Camper! chainsaw.gif
