That is a new one for sure. Not even sure what problem that would cause on the burning end. Splitting yeah fibers suck, but burning? Hope you didn't LOL right in front of the person and embarrass them.
 
No, didn't laugh, just walked away to the nearest bar & ordered a double JD. Course that likely had too much liquid in it.
 
i guess i broke some laws of science for all last winter, and will continue to break them this winter too... i don't know how the wood keeps disappearing from the stove, but i keep putting that box elder in there.
 
May have meant he doesn't process it because its too fibrous, therefore doesn't burn it.
 
I bet 5 times last winter someone told me that burning cherry will give off poison gas that the furnace cannot keep out of the house.
