changed nozzle yesterday.

Changed the nozzle in the biomass 60 after work yesterday. It went pretty decent. I had to chisel a little creosote out of the top front corner s of the side blocks to get them loose. the old nozzle broke in two when I pulled it out. It come out pretty easy. I had to grind a little bit off the corners of the new nozzle to get it to drop in. the grinding took literately one minute. I didn't look at time when I started , but guessing it took an hour to an hour and a half to change it. still have to clean the tubes and then it's ready for winter.

Cleaned the tubes, changed the door seals, and wiped the outside down. Let the winter fun begin. lol. Just kidding. Winter can wait as long as it wants.

WM, what's the condition of your lower door ceramics. Mine's been shot for at least 2 seasons. When I asked Zenon about door ceramics he didn't have any. Happy for you that your nozzle experience wasn't as brutal as mine. I ran without storage for a bunch of seasons so my side blocks were pretty glued in place. Looks like new software here.... Been doing other stuff over the summer.

the cover plate refractory for my lower door has been off for two seasons. the door itself is filled with refractory so I haven't worried about it. I have a cover piece waiting for me to put it on just haven't did it. about due to order spare refractory for lower chamber in case one breaks. Cleaned the tubes the other day.
