I came across this for sale. Not much in the description, but I did email the seller.

What exactly is this model?
Where can I find more info on it?

Full size "Fisher Fireplace Insert" heats over 1500 sf with blower or blowers.

No bear name given but it does use Grandma Bear doors and screen.

I don't see a handle for damper control on the right, so it may be an early one with a pull chain control. Everything else is the same on them.

How well do the inserts heat without a blower? I see one on CL but doesn't have a blower.
 
The front half extends out of the hearth for a cook top and radiates without blower. The back half gravity flows from a slot under the ash fender, under the bottom, up the back and out of the slot at top. The most heat comes from the area around the vent pipe, so a blower extracts a lot more heat through convection into the air. Here is a thread with homemade blowers and there are many like used with gas logs you can add.
