My local chimney supply guys are rather expensive on the parts I need of set up my chimney. Where would be best online to buy metal fab parts? Thank you.

If you bought them from your local dealer they could also give you technical advice, you could return extra parts and go buy additional pieces when needed.. sometimes spending a little extra isn't a bad thing.

I agree and that was why I went to my local shops first. One was 250 bucks more and the other was 300 more than the same exact thing on Amazon and then you add no sales tax and free shipping....... If it was 50, even 100 bucks price difference I could see going local as I always try and support local/small business. That said, The price difference was too great to ignore and I'm not made of money so I'm looking elsewhere. My local shops are smaller guys that don't have websites so I don't know why they're so high in price. If there are guys here with shops or board sponsors that I can support, I'm glad to look into that as well. Thanks for the reply.

Fair enough. That is a big price difference!

Yeah, I was floored. I don't begrudge someone making a profit but don't make all of it off me! I started asking of that was including installation or delivery or something and was told no. They stay in business so I guess they know their market but I can't justify paying that when I know I can save so much money. I will say tho that the guy at Metal fab was incredibly helpful. Mark I think his name was, guy knows his product and stayed on the phone with me until every question i had was answered in vivid detail.

Try your local hardware store, mine beat the internet guys by a couple hundred, and let me store the parts in his barn until I was ready to it. He was part of the Do it best chain, but I know some ace and true value stores that are really good.

Plumbing supply stores also have them.

Good Idea! I'll try that tomorrow when they open. Thanks!

Are you sure they were the exact same thing? What parts were you looking for?
