Hi; I have a lakeside cottage and am planning a 16' X 12' deck with an outdoor fireplace in the corner. I have researched and have kinda settled on this one...

www.theoutdoorfireplace.com

its made from interlocking pieces and is the right size and style. I checked the site and can even use it as a grille and BBQ and even a bake oven.

I would love to hear from someone that actually have one of these or could recommend something similar. My cottage is located in N/W Ontario Canada and it gets cool in the evenings even during the summer and crazy cold in the winter (last night was -30 ish). I think this might allow me to use the deck into Sept-Nov instead of retreating inside.

I don't have a price yet but since its an assemble yourself project it can't be toooooo much (I hope!).

Thanks in advance.

If you are building an attached wood deck I would not recommend a wood burning fireplace. Seems like it would be too easy to burn the whole place down. Other than that it looks like a nice fireplace. Looks like it's just interlocking bricks and you can build whatever you want out of them.

I sent e-mails to the company and they were all returned "unable to complete email delivery" I guess the company is gone!
Are there any similar designs out there?
