Does anyone have an opinion on these pellets? Our local Lowes sells them....just curious how they burn etc. and possible where they come from? If theres already another topic mentioning these pellets I apologize for a repeat but was curious about them.
Thanks

I have been burning them all winter. They burn well , don't have a lot of fines in the bag. They seem to put out little more ash than other pellets I've used but this could be the way my stove is tuned.

I may try some....for the heck of it to see if their any different than what I have. Been burning firesides and love them.....but doesnt hurt to know a few brands that burn well.

I just recently bought a few bags of these and so far they are some of the best I have burned, , alot of heat also.

Funny. I tried a bag from Lowes called Green Tree. Burned well and left no clinkers, but man there were so many fines in the bag that poofed up into a big ball of dust and settled around the room.

Is this the same brand?

These are some good pellets if you get them fresh. Dont buy from lows or any rat trap store they be all broke up.
They get throwed around and crumble in the bag. They made from PA. hard wood scrap mostly chain gang wood.
Trees cut to clear road or widen them. No DPW crap, just hard wood. call emil if you got bad bags.I get them fresh for 120. a ton

I bought a tone of "Green Tree" from Lowes which I guess is a different brand. Best of the 5 I tried. It's odd that Lowes has two different brands in different regions with names so similar.

Just bought 2 Tons of Green Team from Lowe's in NJ. May be the best pellets I've burned!

Decent pellet. Good heat, but lots of ash.

I bought three tons ($215 a ton) locally after the company I usually buy Lignetics from ran out. I was very concerned at first as I really like the Lignetics. The first few days I fought with these,...a lot of ash. But today I finally hit the 'sweet spot' in adjusting the burn and it really seems like they're going to do well. [fingers crossed mode on]

Worst pellets I have ever used. I have used pellets for heat for 9 years. Bought a ton from lowes. Have to clean my pot 3 or four times a day. They just fill my burn pot . If I cut them way down they won't light. They smoke before they light. No ash is blowing out of my pot everything is just staying inside the pot. If I put other brans of pellets in the stove it works great. Here I am in Michigan stuck with a ton of crap pellets.

If you were closer i'd be glad to take them off your hands. These are excellent pellets
I would check your stove's settings, probably not enough combustion air.
What kind of stove are you running ?

Keep your eyes out for Greene Gold also. Made by the same company as Greene Team in Garards Fort, PA, about 40 miles south of Washington,PA. I got 2 ton last summer for $188 per and loved 'em. Good heat, low ash.

I 2nd that, picked up a ton from same dealer I bought stove from for $185 a ton. Did so well I'm going to get another ton to finish season with and do the preorder this spring for next year. If price is good will get 4 ton for next season.
So far this year I've tried hardwood heat, awp and tri state pellets. They all did well, but the green gold puts out more heat with about the same ash as the awp pellets.

Got them from Daniels run energy out of washington pa. He had been selling Tri State pellets and I bought 2 tons when I bought the stove. Delivered one ton with stove, and when I went to pick up 2nd ton the tri state place had a fire and he had to go to the green gold pellets.
The tri state pellets did well, but had more ash, and the green gold put out a little more heat for me.
