Help!

I recently received a Shenandoah R76 from a family member that I want to install in my basement. I am trying to find the instructions/manual so I can get a permit (I live in Central MA) from my building inspector and make sure I am covered with fire insurance. Does anyone know where I can find such a document(s)? thanks in advance.

Can't help you with the document, but don't let an over zealous building inspector give you a hard time.

I issue building permits for a living and have found that alot of inspectors give permit applicants a hard time. Inspectors can only regulate the building code. If your area adopted the Int'l Residential Code, then basically as long as your stove/insert is listed (UL, Warnock Hersey, etc) and it's installed per manufacturers installation instructions, then you should get the permit.

Don't be afraid to ask your building inspector what section of the code is not being met if he or she gives you a hard time.
