VC Factory Store???

Hey Guys,

It seems the VC Factory Store is closed or at least their number has been disconnected. The last time I had the opportunity to call Bill was back in 12-22-03 when I ordered some Andirons for my father in law. The number I used then was 802-234-6719. When I called this number Tuesday it gave a new number...802-234-5378. When I called this number it said it had been disconnected.

Does anyone have an update???

I don't think they have had that store for a long time. To my knowledge there is no way of ordering anything direct. There are some parts houses which stock older parts.

Hey Craig,

That's a shame. Bill was always a big help when I called him. If I remember correctly Bill was a former long time employee of VC and started the store on a private basis not connected with VC. I thought one of his sons or relatives was going to take over running the store but I guess not.

Oh, you might be speaking about another store......funny, here's a bit of history....

Bill Matthewson was TOP DOG at VC for many years, in fact he pretty much saved the company and then the owners (financiers) sold it to CFM. That was many years back.

Bill then started his own little stove shop and still has some old VC employees working with him. But this is not the VC factory store. VC had a display store at one time right in front of the assembly plant, but that is closed.
