Mater Brothers or Mader Brothers? Does anyone have any info about these pellets? I believe they are made in Michigan? I was wondering how well they burned for any of you folks? I have them available to me for $149 a ton and was wondering if they were bad. Thanks.
 
I've never heard of that brand, but if they were priced that amount around my parts I would jump at that offer. You need to find out what materails these pellets are made of. There are different types of pellets. The best kind are the ones with low ash content. Around here a ton of pellets like that goes for close too $300 a ton
 
Yes I bought some last fall, alot of fines and ash but the heat was pretty good I would not purchase again after buying stove chow at Home Depot, minimal ash, fines not to bad and good heat. There were on sale last week for $128
 
Bought 2 tons of this brand at $160 @ ton.
Get it dialed in and it burns as well as ProPellets. (locally $185 @ ton)

I bought 50 bags of pro pellets from TSC and returned 47. They plugged up the grate after 2 cycles. I tried different adjustments of feed and dampner and just couldn't get them to burn. I would buy 2 bags of whatever and see how they burn in your stove. By the way I have a insert I don't know if that makes a difference or not.
 
I'm burning a Dell-Point Europa.
Incinerates most anything now.
I just watch for changes in the wind and adjust for them.
The stove continues to put out heat for weeks without stopping.

I know this has nothing to do with anything but for the record I love the name "Stove Chow." Is that a real name of a pellet company or what you call pellet fuel?? That is too cute! Sorry guys for the dumb comment, I have the flu and the only thing I can manage to do is mess on the computer!

No its a real name of a pellet. I burned some at the beginning of the season. But I thought they went out of business.
