Distributing heat

I just installed a "Century Hearth" wood-stove in my living room and I would like to move some of this heat to my kitchen and utility room which are on the opposite side of the wall from the living room. I am thinking of installing vents unless someone has a better idea. My question is should they be near the top of the wall or the bottom or somewhere in between?

Work with nature here. Try this. Take a box or a table fan. Put it on the floor at the entrance to the kitchen. Face it toward the woodstove and run it on low. By doing this you are taking advantage of natural convection and giving it a boost.

I will have to agree with this one. I read about it here and have tested it for my back bedroom. When I broke out the fan to test this my wife thought I was crazy, but using this method I was able to raise the temperature 3 degrees in about 20 minutes. The only way that room got that warm in the winter before was when rest of the house was unbearably hot.
