You may remember we were considering the Englander 30 and decided to go with the 13 instead. I have to say, so far, I'm quite pleased. I know there will be a learning curve, but we easily achieve secondary burn and it seems to warm up the basement gameroom quite nicely. Will it heat the whole house in the dead of winter? Probably not, but we're ok with that. We can supplement with our natural gas heater and/or the electric baseboards on the rare occasions it gets super cold here in Southwest Virginia.
We're getting more heat out of less wood than with our old Wonderwood, and that's always a good thing. I've recommended the 30 to my mom who wants to replace their old stove (her is a different brand, but quite similar to the Wonderwood). Their house is bigger than ours and has the chimney on an exterior wall where ours is in the center of the house. I think the 30 would be perfect for them.
