Thank you JFK. Glad this is the setup you wanted. If you need more offset you could put a short piece of pipe
between the elbows to get whatever offset you need. I forgot to ask for dull pipe when I told the dealer to bring
two 45's with him for me when they delivered the stove. He brought shiny which didn't match but after burning for
a couple of weeks it is now becoming dull so should be fine. I didn't have any black metel screws either so use what
I had. Was going to replace them but think I will leave it for now.

I installed this myself with the dealer delivering it for 50 bucks which was a real deal in my opinion. They set it on the
hearth using a neat electric cart which could even climb steps. I had already removed the Jotul to the garage before
they arrived but they were going to do that included in the price if I hadn't gotten it done.

Just curious, why did you nuke the Jotul?

Hi Ray, I paid $1299.00 for it plus tax. The list price of their other colors are $2100.00. I
doubt any are sold for that price but you never know. Our wood burning season is almost
over and a good time to buy.

This is considered a parlor stove and not very large. The jotul was about the same size and
heated our small house very well. This will have coals left in the morning so no need to restart
the fire except from them. For convience I use firestarter logs to start the fires when completely
out. Usually I break each small log into thirds getting three starts out of each stick. We purchase
a box of them in the fall for 14 bucks and they will last all winter with a few left over.

We nuked the jotul because we had burned it for 18 years and it is still a fine stove.
Wanted to update to a different look for a while. In our second home on Beaver Island
we have used a quadrafire for 10 years to heat when needed in the fall and spring.
Since we liked the way it burned and wanted to update this one decided to get the
same brand but in enamal.

Laughing, we have had more different stoves than I have fingers over the past 30+ years.
Mostly sold all of them but I did keep a small morso box stove in enamal which was also
one of our favorites. It has the top smoke chamber on it but no window. I am in no rush
to sell the jotul either since we liked it so well but I can only store so many memories. Grin.

Yep, that Summit hookup looks great. So from the floor measuring to the top of the stove flue connection,
how many inches is it. My connection would eventually go up 2 45's then horizontal to the wall to the
present thru connector to my outside chimney. I would like to know what distance I can play with from
the top of stove to the wall connection and how far the Summit needs to be from the cement basement
wall to allow these 45's for hookup.

Thanks. Actually I've had three different stoves hooked up with that same piece of pipe.

Anyway, to answer your first question, 31 1/2" from floor to top of flue collar.
The length between the elbows is 39"
The edge of the stove's flue collar to the wall is 27 1/2"
The distance between the floor and the bottom of the flue exit through the wall is 72"

My elbows are actually adjustable 90's set to APPROX 45 degrees. You don't have to use those exact numbers, your results will vary according to how you adjust your elbows.
I couldn't find 45 degree elbows around here @ any price, so I had to do it that way.

If I were you, I'd put my stove where I want it (it can be as close to a concrete wall as you want), then install and adjust the elbows so the open ends face each other, the cut the pipe to suit, allowing for insertion.
The adjustable 90's are VERY easy to adjust if you spray the seams with WD-40 first.
