I looked around the search function and haven't found much on this stove besides its rather ugly. Not a big deal as I want it to put in the basement and heat the place via floor convection and toe good old open door principal. I use a Countryside and plan to keep it upstairs and pretty much put my boiler out of business by putting the wood stove into its masonary chimney clay lined 10" and sliding the boiler over and powerventing it. I especially like the ability to toss in larger chunks of wood and ability of it to at least partially heat hot water. Yes I would love a nice Gassifier boiler but at the price commanded no way. Anyways does anyone in here have one of these units? I was looking at the 2000 as my house is your typical ranch 1400 sf with full basement that currently stays around 48-50 during the freezing periods, good insulation built in 95 yadda yadda.
So : HOW DOES THIS STOVE WORK WITH US INSURANCE COMPANIES SINCE IT SEEMS TO ONLY HAVE CANADIAN LISTING?

HOW IS THE SMOKE SPILLAGE ISSUE COMPARE WITH DOWNDRAFTERS AS COMPARED TO STANDARD STOVES AND FURNACES?

DOES IT HAVE ABILITY FOR OUTSIDE AIR HOOKUP

ANYTHING ELSE WORTH KNOWING POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE.

WHY WOULD I WANT TO BUY ONE OF THESE FOR 1800 BUCKS AND NOT JUST TROT DOWN TO TRACTOR SUPPLY AND BUY A WOODBURNING FURNACE FOR A WHOLE LOT LESS

I know one of you guys is the owner of the company so please understand that I want to hear from others who have experience with this stove and can't outright trust your experiences. Sorry but my name is Tom and I am a doubting Thomas who doesn't like to take chances on peoples words who have $$$ interests involved. OK everyone enlighten me I love my corn and pellets but around here wood is often free.

Not too many of those stoves out there, so we would be very lucky to get a user on here!

What, no Kanuks around, surely one or 2 of em are around who have one. I know they all migrate to Hollywood Florida in one sweeping hoard in December but they tend to wander back again come April. You can see Florida sink a tad deeper into the water about the time they arrive. Calling all Kanuks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are at least 50 Sedores in the US and they are being made in Deer River, Minnesota. Please feel free to contact me reguarding info and US contacts.
