Hi,

I have been using my new 12-FP for about 1 week now and it works great.

I do have a question about the 12-FP, however. This is the 1st morning we have both our woodstoves going and there is a noticeable difference in the smoke being produced.

The Pacific Energy Artisan is not producing any visible smoke to speak of. However, the 12-FP is producing a lot of it. Both stoves are buring the same type of wood from the same pile. There is not difference in the type of wood, dryness of the wood, etc.

Would the smoke difference be due to the fact the 12-FP is a 35-1 type stove and the Pacific Energy is not?

Thanks for the comments.

Yes, I suspect what you are seeing is a significant difference in unburnt exhaust gases.

I thought that was what it was. Wow! What a difference technology can make. Having them side by side, in a sense, really shows the difference. It is like night & day.
