Hi Im thinking about buying the Bixby pellet stove that is rated up to 2200 sq ft. I live in a 1200 sq ft house. Is this stove to big for my needs? Will the minimum temp be to warm for my house?My living room is quite small. Thanks Dan

Sounds like it. Do you have other brands available at local dealers like Quadrafire, Enviro, or Harman?
Yes I do but bixby advertises there stove as 97% efficent. If I dont get the bixby Ill get the harman 38 The dealer is only 9 or ten mile from me Thanks Dan

That is a sales claim for combustion efficiency, not heating efficiency. Read up on this stove and I think you will find the reviews are not glowing reports. Seems to be a noisy unit with a fair share of issues. Get a properly sized Harman and I think you will be a happier camper.

Even in Central ME you're nearing the end of the heating season. Use your time wisely and look at lots and lots of stoves. Read what others have to say on this forum, then decide what best suits your needs. The reputable manufacturers BeGreen mentioned each have a large variety of stoves to choose from that would suit your needs, and they've been making them a lot longer than Bixby.
Advertising 99.7% efficiency intending to mislead you into thinking that's heating efficiency strikes me as deceptive advertising. I don't even like Harman advertising the availability of a battery backup option when it's actually an inverter. Using the same logic your big screen TV has a battery backup option too. Shame on them.
