central boiler has green poly pex pipe with a thick wall that they used to run in my basement. i need to make up a by pass line with pex and i cant find that heavy wall green pipe just regular pex . will that regular pex be fine? also giving those shark-bite fittings a try..
what i planing on doing is just kill the power to the water circulating pump in the morning before i go to work and by the time i get home it should be cool enough to cut the pipe and work with it.
any other suggestions or pointers are welcome.
thanks ant.

I don't think you would have any problems with any oxygen barrier pex pipe- but why don't you just buy the green pex and fittings from your CB Dealer ? It would make it easier to match up with what you have. It's sometimes a hassle mixing different PEXs / Fittings.
Have to say that the pluming in the pictures is a little messy.

i only needed 5' of pex. my dealer is about 150 miles away round trip. that white pex is the same as the green pex the dealer installed.
if i went with the pex fittings i would have to get the crimper. the shark-bites you see in the picture is something new. they work well and easy to install.

little messy did my best to retro fit in a existing system.

post pictures of your install  :smirk:

SORRY I said that- none of my business. :red:

Mine is a radient in slab- cant take pictures.

Almost any plumming supply house should have several PEXs that will work.

Again- Sorry !
