I bought the 22 ton TSC splitter the other day and although I haven't used it to split wood, I did run the ram across a few times (horz). I noticed that when coming back, the ram would stop part of the way back and kick the handle out of the detent. Is this normal and is there an adjustment?

any idea if all splitters have an adjustment and how to fix it?

Yes, it is adjustable and is (in my experience, anyway) pretty normal to have them set too low from the factory.

Please explain how to do it. I don't see it in the manual.

Loosen the outer, tighten the inner a little bit, and snug the outer back up. That did it on my splitter.

No, but most splitters use generic components from only a few suppliers - See if you can find a manufacturer name and model on the valve - it's probably cast into it somewhere, and Google for it, probably will have a manual with directions on how to adjust.
