What seems to be the problem here, are you still burning wood ?

Heck, it's late spring here in Tennessee and the leaves are full.

Get that wood off the porch and vac that stove out.........it's almost time for swimming.

The weird part is....... we are actually still using a 110 heater a few times in the last couple weeks because it's still dropping down in the 40s.........I shut my wood stove down over a month and a half ago because we were running air conditioning during the day.

What weird weather...........

Heating season is not done here in Michigan. We have a fire in the stove now, but not a roaring fire. Got the soapstone up to temperature and now it will stay warm for a long time just from the heat in the stone. Nice!

:) I fired ours up last evening too. One small load kept the house at 72 till morning. Nice feeling. We are going to Beaver Island for the weekend and I am sure we will be burning a fire out there yet.

Yep. Burned both stoves here yesterday. The one in the basement during the day and the one upstairs last night.

I just thought I was through back in early April. Nope.

It can get pretty chilly here even in July on a cloudy damp day (50s) Not too often but it can happen. The last few days when the sun hasnt come out i had to put the evil oil burner on for alittle while  when i got home from work.I could of used the stove but i have cleaned it out and its resting till next fall.

Well, it actually occurred to me to lite the stove last night, but I just pulled up the comforter and snuggled a little closer to my wife. I think I'm done. BUT, you never know, I'm kind of missing that smell, and all....

I'm getting ready to fire up now. It will be in the lower 40s tonight. I refuse to let the heat pump come on.

I've given up. Fire going tonight and we've made a bed for the fat lady in the spare room. She says she has a sore throat and won't be able to sing for awhile due to inclement weather.

Still burning here
past week the temps are in the high 30's low 40's. Glad I had dry wood ready for next year.
Actually sat by the stove last night thinking this will be the last indoor fire for the year :(

Several distractions kept me from amassing the wood that I needed last season, so I ran short.

One of those was... collecting wood for the kiln- so I still burned about 7 cord last year- just not in the house :)

It looks that way some days; you can go out in shorts, but next day you're packin' a windbreaker. I kinda took advantage of the opportinity to move some seedlings to another area of the property. Kinda feels like I have a tree farm here.......................

Ditto that!

Had a fire Mon, or Tues evening. Was cold and very windy....just lit an oak kindling fire with a couple small splits of additional oak. Took the chill off and was 72 at 5am.

Priceless!

Wow- lower 40's is warm here. Don't fire up any heat or nuthin' 'till ya get Below 35. Go West young man.....................

yup, officially the longest burning season I have had..Last year I was done on the 15th.!

Just came upstairs after putting another log on the fire. I also thought this was the longest burning season but the XO just informed me we once burned till June.

I have had a fire every night for the past 2 weeks I think!
