I have the Yankee (same stove different body) and I burned a Leyden for a couple months in the old shop. Good stove, heats well no problems. The only thing I could have hoped for was a little better air wash.

Hi Jeff, I'm the fella that bought the Lopi Leyden a few months ago. Well, truth be told, i bought it after the coldest weather , my 1st floor plan is u-shaped but the stoved kept it toasty & even made it up the stairs. No problems so far but i only set the thermostat & set the stove on auto . Kinda like "set it & forget it. Overall, i'm happy with it & think it will do the job next winter. Hope this helps & good luck. Stick with this site & you'll make out just fine . Muss

I had one for about 2 months, and it burned so rich the dealer took it back and replaced it with an Enviro Empress. They tried everything to fix it. The inside of the stove would be entirely covered with black soot within a short time after cleaning. We tried several different brands of pellets, and it did have an outside air intake. Th Empress in the same installation burns very well. Maybe we had a lemon. The other thing I noticed was the fan was very loud, and my light bill went up considerably with it running. Not so with the Empress. Also found we had to keep pushing the pellets down in the hopper due to the gradual slope in the front section.
Nice looking stove though!
