After researching inserts on this website and visiting my local dealer I am leaning toward purchasing the 1200i. I was wondering if the price I was quoted was fair. With the surround with a nickel finish and a plain black door the price I was quoted was $3346 (no other options). I also got a price for $325 for 25' of 3" pipe. I just wanted to make sure I am getting a decent deal.

Thanks for all your help.

I am not sure on Quad pricing but if it was 5 lengths of 3PVP-60 (Dura Vent) piping it is not a bad price. You still need a cap, flashing, and storm collar. Is that installed or will you do it yourself?

It's probably the ss flex. That's what we wound up using alot of. Did you check the quad website? It used to list a "range" of average prices. That sounds about right though.

Just bought the same stove in April at a stove place in Canton MA and got last year price. $3300 including gold door, gold upper panel, gold trim plate and chimney kit 25' 3". I did the install and it was pretty easy. Just watch out cutting the flex pipe it will cut your hands up real fast. Good luck.

The first week of March I was quoted (and later paid) 1995.00 for a CB1200i, black door, black grill and surround. I paid about 310.00 for a 25' SS flex pipe kit. Not a bad deal.

Oh and I love the stove. It's the bomb. When I walk out to check the propane tank and the guage doesnt show any movement in 2wks of cold northern michigan weather (this spring never showed up) you realize just how wonderful pellet stoves are. It's my primary heat.
